Open Doors to Careers, Universities, and Opportunities in China
Expert HSK coaching for all levels — results-driven, personalized, and flexible.

Mandarin Zone's HSK course breaks down complex grammar with daily-life examples. Their structured lessons helped me pass HSK 4 on the first try, even though grammar was my weakest spot!

The HSK mock exams here use authentic question formats. Teachers analyze each mistake, like my tricky tone issues, and provide targeted drills to improve accuracy step by step.

I struggled with HSK vocabulary until the course used shopping/transport scenarios to teach words. Now I remember 50+ new terms weekly through their interactive flashcard system!

HSK writing used to feel impossible, but teachers here taught me how to structure essays with clear topic sentences and examples. My last practice essay got full marks!

Listening practice with subway announcements and news clips prepared me perfectly. I improved from 65% to 95% in HSK listening scores within two months of their drills.

Small-group HSK classes focus on exam strategies like time management. Last week, I applied their reading tips and finished the HSK 5 test 10 minutes early—got my certificate today!
The HSK (Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi) is China’s official standardized Chinese proficiency test, recognized globally by universities, employers, and immigration authorities. It’s the gold standard for proving your Chinese language ability.
Whether you’re beginning your HSK preparation or planning your HSK exam registration, understanding the framework is the first step:
• HSK 2.0 (launched in 2010) — 6 levels, still the most widely taken version worldwide
• HSK 3.0 (introduced in 2021) — an expanded 9-level framework, gradually being adopted at test centres globally
Under HSK 2.0:
HSK 1–2: For beginners (basic survival Chinese).
HSK 3–4: The “intermediate” hurdle. HSK 4 is the standard minimum for most undergraduate admissions in China and for working in a Chinese environment.
HSK 5–6: Advanced levels required for postgraduate studies or professional careers in translation/business.

In most cases, yes. Current regulations at many global test centres require “Combined Testing” — meaning you must register for the HSK and HSKK together. Under HSK 2.0:
HSK 3 + HSKK Primary
HSK 4 + HSKK Intermediate
HSK 5/6 + HSKK Advanced
You generally cannot register for one without the other.
Don’t worry — we’ll guide you through the entire registration process.
Preparation time depends on your current level, study frequency, and learning intensity. As a general guide (HSK 2.0):
• HSK 1 & 2 — approximately 30 class hours each
• HSK 3 — approximately 60 class hours
• HSK 4 — approximately 120 class hours
• HSK 5 — approximately 160 class hours
• HSK 6 — often 2+ years of intensive study, requiring mastery of 5,000+ words
The biggest factor? Consistency. Students who attend regular classes and practise between sessions progress significantly faster than those who study sporadically.

The HSK is available in two formats: a computer-based test and a paper-based test.
Computer-based test (IBT) — taken on a computer at an authorised test centre. We recommend this format for most students because you can type Chinese characters using Pinyin, making the writing section more manageable, especially at higher levels.
Paper-based test (PBT) — completed with a printed test booklet and pencil. This may suit you if you are confident writing characters by hand or strongly prefer reading on paper.
Not sure which format is right for you? Our teachers can help you choose based on your learning style and exam goals.
